Can you play the 3.0 Adventures/Modules that WotC released if you only have the 3.5 core rule books? Or would you need to get the 3.0 core rule books to play them?

Thank you

All you need to do is take the time to read through the module and check to see that any details of people and spells that don't comply with 3.5 are updated... It shouldn't take too much effort. I believe the document listing everything you need to update stuff from 3.0 to 3.5 is freely avaliable, although I don't have a link to it...

Generally speaking, they'll work OK. You'll see some differences, such as ranger NPCs as an example.

I think the biggest thing that would affect a DM running those would be damage reduction, since that system was overhauled pretty extensively.

My group is just about to start Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil - a 3.0 adventure. My plan is to rebuild important NPCs from scratch, taking advantage of prestige classes, feats, spells, etc from other books; leave all the other NPCs alone, even if that introduces 3.0/3.5 weirdness; and run monsters out of the Monster Manual rather than any stat blocks in the adventure.
