3.0 to 3.5 conversion [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-14-05, 03:16 PM I still have two players that are still using somethings from 3.0 how can i find out what is 3.5 compadible. For example I one player that is 3 levels in Deep wood sniper is this PrC 3.5 compadible if not how do you make it or are there changes already done some where that I am missing.

The new Conslidation lists do they list things that are 3.5 or 3.5 compadible?

11-14-05, 03:21 PM First off, deepwood sniper is reprinted in 3.5, I think its in Complete Warrior, might be a different one though. Second, if you think the class if fair, its fine, you are running it. The big change to most classes was just balance issues, if Deepwood Sniper 3.0 is balanced for your game, its fine, otherwise, check out the reprint.

If you are looking for a way to determine if a book is 3.0 or 3.5, look at the publication date. If it was published before July 2003, it's written for 3.0; if it's published in or after July 03, it's 3.5.

If you're asking for how to find where 3.0 stuff was updated to 3.5 in official sources, you'll want to check out this article (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20050110x). (hopefully that link still works - I'm unable to verify it at work since the main page is blocked...)

That said, the Deepwood Sniper wasn't reprinted, but I think there's a new bowman like PrC in Races of the Wild?/Destiny?... the elf one. that pretty much subverts it.

11-15-05, 01:50 AM Well if you don't have a problem with it, the only things you really need to change are abilities that deal with core rules that were changed; things like Jump, "monk BAB," damage reduction, weapon sizes, things like that.

I don't usually allow anything 3.0 though. I'm funny that way.
