I know I've heard somewhere that there's a ruling that any 3.0 material not updated to 3.5 is still valid in a 3.5 game. Could anyone please show me where I can find a link to this document?

Are you talking about Monster Manual II and Fiend Folio and some other sourcebooks (regional and others)

Well the MM2 and FF got an update on this website (basically giving some creatures the resistance abilities)

So in a sense everything is updated...

no, I'm looking for the quotation on the validation of 3.0 material that has not been specifically updated by WotC. I know it exists, but I can't find it.

You know, the police wont arrest you for using 3.0 material

I don't need it for a campaign, I need it for a RAW discussion I'm currently in.

You mean other than the sidebar titled Why a revision? found in the PHB, on page 4?

This revision is compatible with all existing products, and those products can be used with the new revision with only minor adjustments.

There's also the page found here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20050110x) that shows what has been reprinted or replaced or renamed for 3.5.

Hope these two items are helpful.

Cheers

Otto :)
