Short answer is "no."

Long answer: Read this thread (which is different from the one Escef linked). At post #43, we begin to get an idea of what WotC is thinking.

Yep. 3e would be lumped together, under one forum for everything, with all the previous editions of the game.

The existing forums would be put into "read only" mode and allowed to drift into the archives over a six month period.

Along with my desire to give WoTC any more of my money...

This makes me sad.

I have enjoyed using these boards, but as I don't plan on changing to 4th edition I guess I'll need to find a 3.5 board elsewhere.

This thread got moved to the Races board because ...

Dunno. I sent a PM to the VCL (Webster) to find out why.

I suspect it was supposed to get moved to RPG Boards Business, but the wires got crossed somewhere.

I started it in general.

However it could probably be closed as I got an answer.

Not that I'm a die-hard, '4e is the apocalypse' guy, but it's probably going to be a while before I catch up with the new system for sheer financial reasons alone, and in that time these forums are still a very valuable resource.

My current (and only) group has already agreed on a "six month acquisition rule" for 4.0. They are even starting to implement 4.0 rules into our game, which is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I guess the clock is ticking for me. :(

No D&D is better than bad D&D. Also, +6. Yes, I know I already voted. It's that important.

Playing in a D&D game that you don't enjoy. For example, having to follow around the DM's pet NPC that kills everything while you have to sit back and watch and be prepared to praise the greatness of said character.
