| Damionte01-23-08, 05:50 PM | Sup all, If you are looking for a good host for your 3.5 character sheet, we over at Rustmonster.net have developed a new character vault feature. As agmers we always wanted an easy to use online character sheet that could be filled out just the way we want and easily shared. Since we couldn't find one online that met our needs we made one. Charatcer Sheet Example (http://rustmonster.net/sheet/?view=305) You can now create and store multiple character sheets in an easy to use environment. Quickly view and share your sheets anywhere on the web. New copy function allows you to quickly duplicate an existing sheet so you can for instance keep track of the same character being played in multiple games. The character sheet databse is free to use. If you have feedback on the character sheet just stop by the forums link in the character vault. Rustmonster.Net (http://rustmonster.net/) |

| ORC_Chaos01-23-08, 07:18 PM | Since this was an obv move, I went ahead and moved it to D&D Gen. |
| archerpwr01-23-08, 07:21 PM | Since this was an obv move, I went ahead and moved it to D&D Gen. Not to argue, but people playing play by post games are probably going to get more use out of character sheet hosting. |
| ORC_Chaos01-23-08, 07:53 PM | After seeing where the link actually takes you to, I'm going to move it to the Gleemax gaming area and then alert CM to check it. EDIT: I've brought this thread to the attention of the Community Management team |
| crazy_monkey195601-23-08, 07:56 PM | Not to argue, but people playing play by post games are probably going to get more use out of character sheet hosting. I requested that it be moved out of the PbP forum as the PbP forum is for game threads (and PbP Forum business) only. This is a more general discussion topic. |
| Damionte01-23-08, 09:41 PM | So is it in the right place now? Or will it be moved again. As long as the people looking for a character sheet know where to find it I don't particularly care which sub forum it's in. As for comments on it's ease of use. It's very easy to use as long as you know the game. It doesn't do any additions or subtractions for you. When we first started working on it, they hadn't finished 3.5 yet so we didn't want to have anythign auto fill in for you just to have a new book come out and us have to go back through and re-program. Plus we'd have to keep a large database of everything in the system. Plus a few of us simply don't like sheets that do that. As anything not programmed into the sheet can't be put on it easily. This sheet is simply a charater sheet which you can fill out as fits your needs. it is the same character sheet that comes with the PHB. With a couple of added pages for those who need more space to write bios. And a section for adding in traits and flaws form Unearthed Arcana. Because in our home campaigns we do a lot of homebrewing we like a character sheet which is not mired down in the actual game rules. Just a blank sheet we can fill out the way we want it. If you are looking for a sheet that does the work for you though this is not it. You want a more flexible sheet though that you can do more with then use this one. Or if you just want a better way to keep your sheets organised it works well for that too. |
| ORC_Chaos01-23-08, 09:59 PM | Community Management will put it in it's final place. If I'd left it in the regular forums, I'd have had to delete the link and close the thread. |
| Damionte01-24-08, 11:22 AM | Alright. Thanks Chaos. Side note some folks who hit the link were taken to a page that required you to log into the rust monster site before you could see the sheet. MY BAD ! That bug has been fixed, and you shoudl be able to see displayed character sheets without logging in. |
