| soulwalker07-01-07, 12:58 PM | I need everyone's help. Like most DMs we have a job and family and time is at a premium. I am planning on a campaign in Greyhawk near Geoff during the Greyhawk wars. I would use 3.5 rules. To help I was wondering if people can give me some ideas on ready made modules that I could fit into the campaign that would have political intrigue, town battles, ruin battles, mtn battles, forrest battles, and dungeon crawls. I have a few modules that fit but I would appreciate some help. Thanks |

| Redclock_the_Untimely07-02-07, 02:02 AM | Red Hand of Doom would easily allow for some political intrigue. The strict timetable the module keeps to might make it somewhat difficult to incorporate, but Brindol, the major city in RHOD, is already set up for that somewhat. There are two "powers" in the city already and spies and traitors can crop up anywhere. RHOD is supposed to be for levels 5-10 but feels more like 5 or 6-11 or 12, but then I'm not as hardcore a gamer as many on these boards. I can't recommend other modules as everything else I've played is homebrew. |

The magical defender of Dennovar, the biggest city, and the "fall back" if the PCs fail, is guarded by a Dragon Disciple. Great a Red-dragon-wanna-be facing the army of Tiamat. Whose side is HE on? The struggle between the houses in Brindol could make a great backdrop. In one of the play-by-post games I'm reading, the samurai works for the "evil" side. I have no idea if he's aware that his Lady is "bad". Finally, if you go with RHoD, there's all THIS ADVICE and Resources (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=855450) on the boards and around the net to help you out. Gerry |

Shackled City is conveniently bundled together into a massive hardcover book published by Paizo. You can find it here on Paizo's site (http://paizo.com/store/paizo/dungeonsAndDragonsBooks/v5748btpy7dx9). I'm sure you can also find it cheaper on either Amazon or eBay. Age of Worms is undead heavy, which might make a rogue player feel slightly marginalized. The campaign has some built in political intrigue in the later adventures, and it would be really simple to add your own throughout the events. Unfortunately, Age of Worms is not yet compiled into a hardcover. This page on the Paizo store, however, will allow you to purchase backorder copies of all the issues. (http://paizo.com/store/paizo/dungeon/issues/ageOfWorms) The final Adventure Path is the Savage Tide, which is currently still in production. The last issue of Dungeon will contain the culmination of this adventure path. There's most definitely some politics involved in this adventure, starting right off in the first adventure. This one has a general "pirates" theme, but also features a lot of dinosaurs by forcing the PCs to travel to the Isle of dread. Just a word of warning here - you won't be able to contain this adventure path in one small area. There's a lot of world travel involved with this one. You can get back issues of the adventures here, and then you'll need to purchase the last remaining issues as they come out (http://paizo.com/store/paizo/dungeon/issues/savageTide). |
