Ok, I ordered 3.5 today. I have 3.0, 2 PHBs, 2 MMs, and 1 DMG so I was not in a hurry to part with them.

The 3.0 PHB came with character software. The 3.5 apparentyl does not. What do you guys think of this?

Doesn't do anything to me, as I never used the software in the first place. I prefer to create my characters with pure pen & paper.

if you like to get software , just get the e-tools program. They have a 3.5 version out now.

Anyways .. I moved on to 3.5 from the start , but not a day goes by without me missing 2nd edition.

Just personal preference due to nostalgoia. That all. :)

The software is too limited. If you ever want to use a non-core race or non-core anything, it won't really work.

Etools has improved since Fluid put it out.

I use Etools and have input alot of houserules into it with any problems.

No software will ever be perfect especially for a game which is constantly changing.

Nobody can write a program to handle stuff which they have no knowledge of.

CodeMonkey has done an excellent job of correcting problems and improving the program.

I'd rather have no software (a la 3.5) than software that misleads you due to not actually working properly (a la 3.0).
