Anyone using any of the 4th edition elements in their 3.5 games?
Any opinions on the subject? :D

A friend of mine, on another forum, is trying this with the dragons. Check the thread. (http://www.dndarchive.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1524)

I'm not sure that I'd be much interested in 4th edition, from what I hear. I'll be waiting for the books to come out in June, before I know for sure, though.

I heard that Tieflings are now playable races. It'd be interesting to see a non-evil tiefling, considering their heritage.

Yep, my group is using the death and Dieing rules now and its great! Much more realistic that than dying at -10 and I like that the PCs don’t HAVE to coup de grace every time they kill a monster. Come on its dead! Plus it saves a PC from death that I really didn't think deserved to die. He had a suggestion on him and so attacked the party. They killed him by accident but with the new rules he survived. 4E looks like it will be great. Much more in depth and easier on me (the DM) to put together the game. I'm going to attempt to write my first homebrew soon and I really wish that I already had the 4E rules.

I don't really care for 4th Ed.

...except that I'll take a look at the rules and see if there are elements I'd like to use in my game.

Well, I haven't really been following the 4e discussions, so the first time I'm going to look at it will be when the books are actually released. If anything, I'll see if I can retroengineer some of these more playtested classes back to 3.5.

From what I've seen I may end up incorperating the save-spell attack roll change. Also I will change the traps.
