4th Edition Curiosities [Archive] - Wizards Community

The 4th edition forum is locked up so i'll post my question on here. Does anyone know what setting they are going to make as THE setting for 4th edition. I didn't like how they used greyhawk for 3rd ed and not even publish a proper world setting book for it. Maybe it would be better to leave that blank so people can use their own imaginations to create their own worlds. like they did in the first few editions. Or a page is god symbols and insignias, with random names, maps and so forth for DM's to let their creativity flow. As a DM I like the idea of having that blank area to put your down ideas into it. Having everything created for you is kind of boring.

One more idea, have the creators of the new edition thought of creating the D&D soundtrack, By hiring proper classical musicians. Have they even thought to do that. It would definately sell, I think. Thats one thing that was never done properly. a great sountrack made to play in the background. besides using one from a film or classical scores or what ever suits your fancy.

08-22-07, 01:21 PM Gregorian, masters of the chant do severial popular songs in chant backed up with instraments, Scarborough fair for one tears in heaven is cool to, if you get a chance check it out.
I think it makes a good background, especially for tavern situations.

08-22-07, 03:17 PM Ya I know about that one midnight group doing the background music. But what I mean is with real orchestra's. Not sythesizers. It has a completely different sound and feel to it. Some old chamber music would be great.
