Can you take a full round, run all the way up to the monster and then take a 5 foot step into their threat range to avoid the attack of opprotunity?

Also can you take a 5 foot step out of their threat range, then use your turns to run away?

you cannot use a '5-foot step' if you've already moved in a round, and vice versa.

If any of your actions caused you to move any distance at all, you cannot take a 5-foot step.
