I haven't seen any stats for the weapons. If I were to stat Venger for 3.5e, I'd be tempted to make him a lich/half-fiend sorceror.

No, they never did real stats of any of their magic items.

Hank had a bow that shot brilliant energy arrows, that created said arrows as drawn.

Bobby had a club that could cause earthquakes.

Sheila had a cloak that granted invisbility.

Eric had an indestructable shield with some kind of reflection ability.

Diana had the extendable quarterstaff.

Presto had a wizard's hat that could summon anything.

You could get fairly close to some of these though.

I remember a 5 chromaticdragon headed monster caled Tiamat, that would be Venger's nemesis at the end of every other episode. Was it just a catchname or was that THE REAL Tiamath?

Venger would be riding a kind of winged "mara" (nightmarish steed with batwings) if I remember correctly.

And nobody has mentioned the stats for the little white-yoda, aka Dungeon Master....

Wow, what are the stats of a DM?

I just remember thinking it was a dumb cartoon and a travesty to AD&D players everywhere.

Reminded me too much of the Smurfs, I guess...

So that's three artifacts two major magic items, and a silly hat. Great.

Oh, there's only one creature in 3.5 with the same stats as the Dungeon Master. His name is Pun-pun.

He could probably have pulled freaking Bahamut out of his hat if he had thought to try.

didn't he pull a red draon out once?

Due to his size (2-3 feet tall) I believe the dungeon master was a gnome and Venger was his son. Possibaly a half-fiend/gnome.

The Dungeon Master was just some guy called that, not an actual DM. Hank's bow reminds me of a Solar's, actually.

Yes, it's true Presto could pull "anything" out of the hat but most of the time he didn't know what it would be. And yes I think he did pull a dragon once. Why not he pull a rabbit out once......I think the writters had to do that pun. Other than the cloak I don't think there is anything you could use for the stats straight out of the books.

As for Tiamat, yes I think it was the real one and her stats are in deitys and demigods. Venger on the other hand... well good luck, because as villians go he wasn't very good. He could never hit his targets and for being epic level he sucked. He always seemed more bark than bite. Yes Venger was Dungeon Master's son so he had to be at least half gnome (Tall for half gnome). And Dungeon Master I think would be the DM as a character bought to life. All he ever did was guide the group with riddles that usally led them to the wrong place.

the riddles only led the wrong way because the party always misinterpuratted(sp? its late.... so late that i almost said latte) the riddles.

so yea, thatd pretty much be a DM.

I thought it was entertaining. Kind of had that hobbit/LotR feel. Like the producers/editors were stoned while making it.

I watched it when i could. Made that bow for one of my characters in 2nd edition. It shot an fireball arrow that caused 6d6 points of damage.

I'm not sure that the Dungeon Master was "really" a gnome or simply took that form because it was non-threatening and amused him.

Suddenly fell over my half made answer so I went digging :)

Hi, i just say they were reshowing it. and wanted to know if in 3.5 they ever did up the weapons the group had.

There's no official stats. People have tried from time to time but the show translates poorly to 3.5.
Diana’s, Bobby’s, Sheila’s and Erik’s items are not that hard to stat so that they resemble what is seen in the show. Presto’s hat and Hanks bow on the other hand are a nightmare to try and stat (I’ll give it a shot anyway).

Diana's staff: +# throwing returning quarterstaff. This 5 inch green piece of wood will on command extend to a full size quarterstaff and gain a faint green glow. Should the staff ever get sundered it can be mended by pushing the parts together again.

Bobby’s club: +# Club. This ordinary looking club is activated by tapping it against the ground. When activated the club grants a +8 enhancement bonus to strength. Slamming the club against the ground causes the area in an 80 ft. cone in front of the wielder to act as if it was under the effect of an earthquake spell. This effect can be used #/day/ at will

Sheila’s cloak: When the wearer of this purple cloak dons the hood she becomes invisible as with the greater invisibility spell. #/day/ at will, when invisible, the wearer can use the dimension door as the spell cast by a 10th level sorcerer.

Erik’s shield: +# large steel shield. This large steel shield is indestructible and emits a force effect that allows the wearer to deploy it for full cover as if it was a tower shield. Unlike a normal tower shield the shield also grants cover against a targeted spell. #/day/ at will can the wearer can create a wall of force, as the spell, that forms as a hemisphere with a 5 ft radius centered on the shield.

Ad what ever numbers (#)/uses pr. day you find appropriate.

Well that was the easy ones. The last two are some what harder. I’ll start by making a few observations from the show and then try to suggest how those effects can be achieved (note that I’m only operating with core here).

Presto merely ask for the effect he wants and then he gets it (sort of). My best guess is that it mimics the wish spell. So we have a hat that grants unlimited wish. That’s pretty powerful.
The hat however is not very “nice” in granting these requests. It usually tries to grant the wish using a conjuration effect, and if possible in the form of an item. The usefulness of these items are however highly irregular at best. There’s a slim chance that he’ll get something directly useful (around 10 %). The chance that the item is useful in some (though not particular obvious) way useful is around 50%. The remaining items are usually a thing associated with the wish but is only marginally useful. Once or twice in the show Presto gets exactly what he wishes for but this is a rare occasion. The way the hat grants wishes and the way Presto never really “betrayed” by the randomness I’d say that the hat is an intelligent item that likes to tease its owner.

Presto’s hat: Ordinary looking hat, AL CN; Int 18, Wis 18, Cha 10; Telepathy, 120 ft darkvision, blindsense, and hearing; Ego score12.
Power: Wish at will
Personality: This mysterious hat is a most potent artifact but its purpose and goals are unknown. The hat has a telepathic connection with its owner but never talks to anyone using the link only to receive wishes from its owner.
The hat will respond to almost any wish given to it from its owner but will fulfill it in a way of its own choosing. This usually involves using a conjuration effect (usually conjuring forth an item) the effect of which is entirely dependent on the hats mood and how dire the owner’s situation is.

Note: This item is very taxing on the DM as he has to figure out how to fulfill wishes all the time while not letting the player become to powerful. Personally I wouldn’t touch this with a 10 ft pole :D

Things Hank does with his bow:
Shoots people (no killing)
Shoots objects
Shoots more then one arrow at a time
Shoots an arrow up in the air to act as a flare
Shoots an arrow to bull rush people
Shoots an arrow that wraps around people tying them up
Shoots an arrow that turns into a rope
There are a few tricks more but those are the more common ones.

The bow appears to be made from gold but the ease at which Hank uses it one must assume that it ways less. The arrows he fires are clearly made from energy but since they damage non-living matter the brilliant ability is out. That leaves us with a force effect of sorts. This also makes all the interaction his arrows have with the environment easier to explain. In one episode the bow acts as if having a will of its own but I think that for simplicity I’ll leave out item intelligence.

Hank’s bow: +# composite longbow. This bow appears to be made of solid gold but weigh no more then an ordinary bow made from wood. When holding the bow the user can mimic the act of knocking an arrow to bring forth an arrow, and bowstring made from pure force. The arrow can then be fired and deals 1d6 force damage on a successful hit. If the user has the many shoot feat1 additional arrows can be conjured by the motion should the user need them.
#/day/ at will the user of the bow can make the arrow fired have a line of energy trail behind it. This energy trail transforms into a rope of up to 150 ft in length that last for one minute or until dismissed. This effect can be used in one of two ways.
Upon impact with an object the rope-arrow attaches itself to that object allowing the scaling of walls or similar.
The rope-arrow can be fired at a creature to tie up the foe. The user makes a touch attack against the enemy. If successful the creature makes a grapple check against the arrow (the arrow has a + 10 grapple check modifier). If the creature losses the arrow wraps itself around effective entangling the creature. The creature can break free of the rope with a DC 20 strength check or a DC 25 Escape artist check.

There, all done.

So anyone got any comments (never really made this complicated items before so feedback is appreciated)?

PS: completed this thing around 12 pm (Damn exams) so if I made a mess of the flavor text or something you’re welcome to point it out :)
