| therougepenguin05-14-07, 12:03 AM | you could try ebay |
| Bahamut_the_Gold05-14-07, 02:56 AM | Try www.gamerocket.net Contact them at wantlist@gamerocket.net and tell them your wants, they *MIGHT* cut you a deal |
| green_yawgmoth05-14-07, 04:53 AM | Just get a $4 thing of honey roasted peanuts and space them out. Then as they die, you get snacks! :D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/yawgmoth/kittyjig.gif |
| tryco05-14-07, 04:57 AM | or you could buy 100 orcs and let them attack your Pc's (or what else they're fighting against) in 10 waves. cheaper and with the same results. |
| Steven_Arborosa05-14-07, 07:31 AM | 10,000 orcs? That would cost a ton, and even if you managed to get them cheaply, it'd still take you forever (By forever I mean years) to paint them. The 10 waves idea is probably your best bet. Hey, if you're cheap, you could get only 10 and recycle as they die? Also, in case you didn't know, if you want to run a war campaign, I like the WOTC supplement Heroes of Battle. It has a lot of rules to help put the whole war adventure into perspective. |
| Seeker9505-14-07, 08:42 AM | 10,000 orcs?He said 1,000. :P it'd still take you forever (By forever I mean years) to paint them.The new plastic WotC minis come pre-painted. |
| celtredleg05-14-07, 09:58 AM | I have over 200 DDM orcs. If I want to suplement them with warhammer, that riases to over 400. What I dont have is the space to deploy them all at once. Do you have a full basement or something to set this all up on? That is going to be a huge mob. Be very cool to see as well. |
| RobbyPants05-14-07, 10:31 AM | At first, I was going to warn the OP that 1,000 orc minis would take up a lot of space, but I decided to do some math before I looked like a noob. :P In a square (assuming a 1" grid), you could get 1,000 minis in less than a 32" x 32" space. I'm curious as to how you're setting this up. Will the PC's be held up in a small crevace, similar to 300? Are they in a fort? If you actually take the time (and money! :P) to buy 1,000 minis, they could make interesting battle trophies for each of the PCs to collect, and count up after the battle! |
| Cartigan05-14-07, 10:31 AM | He said 1,000. :P Oh, that means it only costs 10% of a ton. They make a good point. Considering the space that would take up, would you even need a fraction of 1000? You might need like, at most 20.. And I find it ironic you want 1000 orcs to represent 300 as opposed to LotR where they were attacked by thousands of orcs. |
| NaeraBlueshadow05-14-07, 02:44 PM | like someone said yo ucan use warhamme rminis that would be better for buying large numbers but thenyou have to paint them all ebay also would be a place to look. |
| SeptimusMagistos05-14-07, 05:37 PM | Avoid using miniatures for this session? Just a thought. |
