I am making a character specific template/class ( of which im not sure). Essentially I want to be able to steal supernatural, extraordinary, salient divine, epic, and all other all other abilit. Th etypes of abilities I can steal are based off a check I make, which has something to do with my HD and cha modifier, but the actual nitpicking potentials of it i havent manged to figure out. Obviously some abilities will be harder to steal then others (like salient divine abilities) and its not necessarily stealing as it is mimicry of what is being done.

No. Bad Leuk. Bad.

I can't agree with anything that gives you the ability to steal the power of the freaking gods. Even if you make it so it requires a ridiculously high DC to be able to do that, it's still broken as all Baator.

Obviously you should use the Spellthief as a sort of guideline for power level.

One tricky spot will be guaging how difficult stealing other things would be. Stealing the Endurance feat should be cake, while Whirlwind Attack would need to be much harder. Ditto 1d6 sneak atack as compared with Improved Evasion.

Epic feats, again, much harder.

Salient Divine Abilities would have to be nigh-impossible. DCs set so a level 40 character would need a natural 20. Plus the god would get a saving throw every round to get it back. And they always roll 20s.

aye, that was stretching it even for me, i was speaking tentatively, although I might have it for RP purposes that it is possible, for one god in particular, although mechanically speaking its impossible.

Storywise, this the guy, Janus, is the last real hero of the world. In computer terms he is a program that makes heroes, or can set events into actions that makes heroes. He's mortal, he's not eccentric or crazy, but he is like that last speck of primordial ooze that is left after the Iron Priest (Overdeity that changed everything) decided he didnt want a world where heroes can act as bastions of hope. Speaking in computer terms, Leuk is an operating system that was installed over the old one, Kismet. Kismet made heroes, and used them to battle "ghosts in the system," things that changed and disrupted reality like major wars, demons breaking through the planes, etc. etc. etc. Leuk doesnt care so much about how the world works, just so long as he's finally in charge for reasons that i wont get into. What matters is that Leuk decided the "program" that made heroes was useless, so he isolated it for his own personal use, but by doing so he had to store it outside of reality, or making it a publically accessed file on the internet, if you would. So the old Kismet, still an operating server, essentially took that potential and turned it into a sentient thing to protect itself. Which is Janus. Janus can steal abilities and the whatnot because they all derive from him in some way shape or form. thats a brief explanation, and very tentative.
