If I use the power, Dimensional Hop, to jump behind my enemy then attack, is that enemy denied their dex bonus to AC (allowing sneak attacks)?

Also, in the Book of Vile Darkness, there is an evil spell that drains life out of a victim, making the caster physically younger. If a human uses this spell so much that he stays one age for several hundred years, how does his age modifier work? Does he keep the stats of the physical, but gain the bonuses on the mental?

Really? I would have gone the other way on both.

As a DM I would handle the teleportation thing like a feint attempt: they are flat footed against you until the start of their next turn. So the only way to use it effectively is to use teleportation as a free action (i.e. quickened teleport or some such thing). This is just me, though. YMMV.

Not sure if the current rules say anything about this, but in previous editions, yes.

I've always assumed that the enemy would be flat-footed, but I couldn't find anything about that in the rules or in anything Wizards have come out with.

I also have Simulacrum questions, but maybe I should go elsewhere. Actually, yeah, most of these questions are about spells, so if a mod can move this thread there?

But what's the limit on simulacrums? Can a person have an infinite amount of fairly strong servants, these beings, as long as he just kept making them?

Yet another question, I'm looking for an arcane version of "spiritual weapon". I've found "steeldance", but I'm not sure if that spell allows both weapons to get multiple attacks based on high caster level. I don't think it does, since it says attack bonus, and not base attack bonus. If anyone knows a spell that could help me out here, that'd be great.

I don't think the enemy would be considered flat-footed as per the rules. In battles, characters don't really have a back-side or a front-side, they are suggested to be aware in all directions after a battle has started. It's kind of lame, but after a battle has started, the only way to get an opponent flat-footed again is through feinting, knocking them prone (I believe?), any other feat that allows it, invisibility, or not having your presence known since before the start of the battle. I believe these are the only ways.

Though flanking allows sneak-attack and a +2 to attack, so you could Hop to do that.

And for your second, not sure about the rules, but I would say the mental stats go up and physical stats do not decrease.

It's not so much that he just switches position, it's that in a split second, the enemy loses track of where you are. It is kinda like a feint, of like being invisible. After you hop and attack, the enemy now knows where you are, and quits being flat-footed until you hop again.

A bit like blinking or something, I would think.

So, disagreement on the questions about Dimensional Hop and unnaturally staying young. If the books are silent on it, what would you at least say is the most balanced way of doing it?

Distract Assailant is a first level spell, and Dimensional Hop only uses 1 PP (if I remember correctly). Distract Assailant does what I'm wanting Dimensional Hop to do, but it requires a Will Save on the enemy, where Dimensional Hop doesn't. Could this all equal out by saying that creatures unable to be flanked are immune to being flat-footed due to Dimensional Hop?

The aging question is pretty much storyline use only, so I don't guess that really matters much.

On the dimensional hop i would say: give the opponent a spot chek DC 15. If he fails it, i would call him flat footed, or geven give the enemy an extra suprise attack.
If he passes the check he has full defense
