evangelion1010 01-24-04, 05:31 PM	I was wondering... 1. why is this in the 17+ acessory line... i just flipped through it at a book store, but i saw nothing similar to the BoVD.... It doesn't seem to talk about anything offensive ( Hell cults, torture, gresume death...etc) 2. Most people think this overpowers good characters.... which having not seen the book, i can't tell you... but what about neutral characters? They can't use much from either BoVD or BoED. thanks...
paolung 01-25-04, 02:01 PM	neutral characters cannot use a whole lot from either book, this is correct. basically the books are about extremes, and neutral characters are, by definition, not extreme.

Kintara 01-25-04, 10:23 PM	Well, people have been talking about the Book of Perfect Balance. I think the idea I've liked the best is to have it focus on Law and Chaos, as well as neutrality. It makes the most sense because the other two books cover three alignments each, as well. Anyway, it isn't particularly vile, it is for the White Hats, after all. It's for mature audiences mostly because it's a companion to the BoVD. You're encouraged to use them together (vile foes for exalted heroes). Also, it discusses martyrdom, sainthood, and other potentially prickly religious mumbo-jumbo.
