A Few Questions... [Archive] - Wizards Community

1.) Psionics??? When did they come about? I've read through my 3 core books and there is no mention of them, yet when I look at the SRD, there's 6 different documents dedicated to them!

2.) Change Self and Polymorph Self: Do these spells exist? I've seen change self mentioned in the Variant: Witch's spell list in the DMG and both spells mentioned in Oriental Adventures, yet I cannot find them in any of my spell descriptions. Help?

02-23-06, 01:25 PM 1. Psionics have been around since 1st Ed. However, 3.5 Psionics compared to everything before it is vastly different. The Expanded Psionics Handbook (XPH) has the 3.5 psionics in it.

2. I think they're now called Alter Self and Polymorph. That one I'm not entirely sure on though.

02-23-06, 01:32 PM Change Self was re-named Disguise Self, according to the 3.0 to 3.5 conversion booklet.
Polymorph Self was removed/folded into Polymorph.
