04-04-08, 05:42 PM Hey folks, I was just listening to a Tome podcast and the promo at the end had something immensely useful for anyone planning on continuing their 3.5 gaming.

The 3.5 Private Sanctuary (http://www.35privatesanctuary.com) (make sure you don't overlook the fact that this is a link) is a website devoted to advancing the 3.5 game system since WotC won't be any longer. As far as I can tell it's intended to be a collaborative effort of user-created content so you can still get new stuff for 3.5.

I'm actually so excited about 4e I might explode, but I heard this and thought it could be helpful to a portion of the forums.

By that logic anything even remotely having to do with fantasy gameing is appropriate for the 4E Concerns and Criticisms board.

I do find this thread relevant [just in the wrong place].

I do still play 3.5, I'm just happy with the new 4E direction and improvements.

04-05-08, 02:03 PM See, this is something that irks me about this forum. Why are half the posts about Supporting 3.5, or Not Killing 3.5, or New Directions for 3.5, or How 3.5 Was Better? If you want to talk about 3.5, there are still all the old forums. So why put your I Love 3.5 threads on the 4E forum? Put your I Hate 4E threads in this forum, and your I Love 3.5 threads in the 3.5 forums.

Note: I'm not blaming you Elven_Swordsmen for making this thread here, as it does seem to be the primary hangout of the 3.5 diehards. I'm just a little disgusted by the entire situation.

Offering support to the 3.5 diehards, from the 4e crowd, is nice. It shows some gamer solidarity. I think it should stay.

It's useful to the group of people likely to visit this forum and would have drawn no controversy, argument or anything other than a valuable resource if comment had not been drawn to it.

If anything this thread's existence will help soften disruptive influences that thrive within this particular forum.

Plus a wizo condemning it will likely spawn countless (wrong) conspiracy theories about WoTC cracking down on 3.x support, etc, etc.

Leave this thread be and allow a valuable resource to the community remain where it will be of the most use.
