felinoel 01-25-06, 04:56 PM	hello sorry about the title im just a bit weird, anyways i was readin through the complete warrior and the magic of incarnum books among others when i noticed that in the complete warrior for the tattooed monk it has a sub about a Multiclass Note, it says "A monk who becomes a tattooed monk may continue advancing as a monk" and in the magic of incarnum it says under a sub in the Umbral Disciple basically the same thing, what does it mean? does the monk and the class stack or something?!?!?!
Phyrrus 01-25-06, 05:04 PM	What it means is that normally, when a monk multclasses, or takes a prestige class, they are forbidden from taking any more levels in monk (the same goes for the paladin). However, in some special cases, like the Tattooed Monk (or other monk-oriented PrC's) they are allowed to continue their monk progression if they so desire.
Johnny Cache 01-25-06, 05:05 PM	Here' the standard rule:Like a member of any other class, a monk may be a multiclass character, but multiclass monks face a special restriction. A monk who gains a new class or (if already multiclass) raises another class by a level may never again raise her monk level, though she retains all her monk abilities.AAA! Darn cross-posting!
