A new 4.0 Topic Petition [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-13-06, 05:21 PM I remember a few weeks back there was a petition to ban all 4.0 topics. Eventually a moderator came along and proclaimed they would never do so as it would make them appear to be sensitive to the issue.

Here is my suggestion/petition: Create a Sticky Topic for 4.0 discussion

Advantages:

- Creates one centralized discussion to avoid 3-4 different topics asking the same thing every week.

- Clears up the general board for discussion of other things

- Prevents the inevitable trolling/impoliteness the mass of 4.0 topics tend to generate

- Does not give WotC the appearance of being "sensitive" or "hush hush" about 4.0

Sound fair enough?

Counter to that though, there will always be someone who posts 4E topics. Which new people will in turn read and think 4E is coming.

Yeah, unfortunately the best thing for WotC to do is completely ignore this 4.0 stupidity. If they don't, somewhere in the neighborhood of 6,000 conspiracy theories will pop up. In the first day.

As with most things, the only real solution is over the top phisical violence.*
