A new spell [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-03-04, 04:45 PM My dm thinks he is smart enough by putting me in a orc village and putting his own spell in me so i am no able to cast spells. But even a own created spell must have a period of ending? or may he just act :censored::censored::censored::censored: :censored:ie and say nope it is for ever =)

i am self a wizard level 3... so i could use some advice

my DM is a bit hard headed. and always he creates something that represents him. This time it are orcs.

Now i am captured and placed in that orcisch village. he had put a spell on me so i can't cast spells. and he took my weapons.

Now i thought Every spell has to end.. right? :confused:

so i wait a couple of days preparing my "great escape"..

and run for my life...

with my spells it could work.. but without i am hopeless..

my question is : is he capeble of creating a spell that never ends without using permancy.

If Yes, do you have advice to get me out of there. without my spells.

03-03-04, 05:22 PM There are a lot of spells that are permanent until "cured".
For example the Bestow Curse spell, it gives you a big minus to an attribute and therefore would be able to prevent you from casting spells.

03-03-04, 06:07 PM Um... the orcs could be repeatedly casting the spell, or Permanancy is being used, or a spell with a long/permanant duration is being used.

My advice: look for a more mundane way to escape.

03-03-04, 07:02 PM You could try bribing some of the Guards if you've got any valuables on you. Or you could cover yourself in filth and make a disguise check (Orcs aren't that bright). Or you could just sneak out the back window :p

Everything he builds he adores it. If you destroy it he makes it impossible to destroy it. He loves the orc villages so i can't kill them. or he does not allow me 2 do it.

Do you smart guys know something to do something about that? ;)

i would reallllyyy apreaciate it if you would know something anoying for him..

03-03-04, 07:29 PM I would suggest talking with him about it, and how you feel that his pet NPC's and other creations are ruining the gaming experience for you. Try to work things out.

Failing that, try to find a new gaming group.
