Hello folks. Mel and I have tried to work out several ways to help you all find games on the boards including slightly rewriting the code in RPG Classifieds to force post listings to go alphabetically. But there is only so much vbulletin can do.

On my personal fan site I've now installed a Gamer Classified system that addresses many of problems in finding a game. The system is linked up to a database of US zip codes and so can return all the games in it within a given distance of the zip code given. You can also search for games within a major metropolitan area, search for them based on their game system, genre, and so on. The system is also equipped to handle convention listings.

To post a game requires you have an account on therpgsite.com. Since it too is a vbulletin forum you should be familiar with the process.

Please read the rules on the way in, they are slightly different from here. Once you have an account go here

Find and click on "Host an event." to enter an event, or search the listings (though at this time there are only three).

Now, one word of warning, particular to the younger ones here - do NOT give the system your complete address without your parent's permission. The system can (and will) generate a map to your front doorstep courtesy Yahoo Maps! if you provide your full address. Only city and zip code are required by the system unless you're making a convention listing - in which case the full address of the convention center is required.

I hope this system is of use to you folks and it will be worth my time if some groups get together as a result of it.
