I've made the first spell caster of our group. No one has ever wanted to until now. So, I finally made a Cleric. And now I am VERY confused...
Until now, we've just been rolling against the DM for DCs. However, I am sure this is not how your "supposed" to go about this.

Simply put...
How do you figure out what the DC to negate a spell is?

The save DC for spells is set at:

10 + (spell level) + (casting stat modifier) + (misc.)

For example, a Cleric with 16 WIS (+3 modifier) casts Bane (a fist level spells). The save DC is:

10 + 1 + 3 = 14
