Some of you have seen/played The Scourge of Worlds: A Dungeons & Dragons Adventure. What would you like to see in the sequel . . . if they ever make it?

Higher lvl characters. I want to see mialee fire something else than magic missiles all the time. And perhaps instead of Regdar or lidda, we could see the cleric join the group.

I would like to see Jozan the Cleric, Tordek the Dwarf, and Ember the Monk in addition to seeing Regdar, Mialee, and Lidda again. A new plot would be cool. A continuation of the old plot with The Scourge of Worlds and Rayne the Druid would be also be nice.

Of course! I'd love to see more DVDs like that. Although not necessarily a sequel. I found it really strange how UNhyped SCOURGE was. I only found out about it by happenstance in a video shop. I read DRAGON and never heard of it... And yet I have heaps of issues of DRAGON wherein they hyped that God-awful Abomination of a movie...shudder...

SCOURGE was really good, and moreover it was a fun concept that was well executed. I especially liked the dark, negative endings. And the beholder...loved the :behold:

I would love to see another "adventure" but featuring Ember. Love Ember.

I'd like to see if they can expand to a two-disc set.

Really? I got a preview cd, a sample in one issue of dragon. Just the first scenes, up to the battle at the abandoned church. OR equivelantly in on another path.

IT was a polybagged issue though, maybe the bags got taken off and the disks looted in the store.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hennet also as long as whoever did that weird voice that they chose for him in the "Temple of Elemental Evil" game isn't the voice they use. He was creepy in that. Very creepy.

I'd drop Mialee for Nebin though. He looks ALOT better than she does.

The new party should have:

Hennet
Nebin
Jozan
Tordek
Regdar
Kerwyn (take Lidda's place as rogue)
Eberk (to have a second priest for a group this size)

I'd like to see a new party with:

Soveliss replacing Regdar
Kerwyn replacing Lidda
Hennet replacing Mialee
Vanadia replacing Barathion

Last year at GenCon, I asked the guy at The Scourge of Worlds booth whether they were planning on doing a sequel. They gave out some cool badge lanyard, but not as nice as the one that Mel gave me from WotC. At any rate, the guy at The Scourge of Worlds booth told me it depended on how well the current one sells. I guess I shouldn't have expected a better answer than that - at least it is honest.

I wonder if a number of people waited for the extended version (as I am doing) and actually hurt its sales (because I haven't caught wind of the extended's existance yet). Bad marketing idea, it would seem.

I'd like something with more options available on each path, so that there are more combinations to play with.

There are a few factors why there were limited choices. As it stands, Scourge of Worlds has a total running length of about 45 mins from begining to end. There is actually about 140 mins total animation on the disc. For more options to be available, one of two things must happen: either you increase the length of the total animtion (More than 140 mins), or else decrease the running time of the story (Less than 45). There is also a limit to how much will fit on a DVD without compressing the video too much, and as such limits the total animation available on the disc.

The marketing for Scourge left much to be desired. The annoucment of a "Special Edition" before the release of the first disc most definatly hurt sales. It would explain the reason for the delay of the Collector's Edition if the publisher was waiting to see how the first one sold.

To get back on topic:

I wouldn't mind seeing the same characters, but they really need a Cleric (one who isn't so loopy). I would suggest Eberk, since there are no Dwarves represented in Scourge (plus he just looks cool). That would cover it for the group, but a guest apperance by Krusk would be cool too: I'd love to see a 7ft tall barbarian just wade through some monsters, his great axe swinging.

I would also like to see the characters at higher levels, with some more options with the spells (more options than just MM all the time).

As for local, I think an adventure in Greyhawk proper would look fantastic. Inside a palace, a wizard's tower, down into the sewers, rooftop chase, evil temple etc...

Oh, and I would like to see more undead. They're just creepy. There are other monsters that would be very neat to, like a mindflayer and even a carrion crawler or two.

Just some ideas...

Anyone else?
