the song is played in 4/4 for the verses to have Cmajor7th and Dminor 7th(8 beats each chord)
the chorus goes like Cmjaor 7th , Dminor 7th , E 7th and F(four beats each and each line in the chorus is only two chords , example first line in the chorus is the C and the D and the nr.two is E and F)

your typical session

chorus

and hope you get the +5 greatsword

verse 2

A little too vague. Are you putting each word or each sylable on the quarter note? Also, are you writing this using C Major as the key? If so , then I am curious as to why you are only using the first, second, third, and fourth chords and not using the fifth chord at all? What type of instrument will it be played on?

So are you using one of the modes to write this as opposed to using one of the regular major or minor keys? Personally, I am not a big fan of any of the modes. Never have been able to get a good grasp on them.

well I'm only doing it like

Cmjaor 7th
--3------E
----5----B
---4-----G
----5----D
--3------A
--3------E
and the Dminor 7th
---5-----E
----6----B
---5-----G
-----7---D
---5-----A
---------E

Maybe you could try taking the "wierd al" route: picking a song with a good tune, then changing the words.

OH!!!! If I still had my fable game I'd be able to help...

Just go really evil, beat the game (Doesn't take long at all) and get divorced.

Than go talk to a bard, they've got lots of funny things to say that would fit into you're song.
