Vacerious 03-03-08, 01:05 AM	Hey everyone. I've tried this thread before in the "What's a DM to Do?" forum without much success. I figured it'd probably do better here. We spend a lot of time on these boards complaining and asking for advice and making up 101 itemed lists. So let's do something different and thank those that make the game memorable. Just use first names, or if one of them happens to be on this forum, feel free to use their screenname. Without much further ado, *raises a mug of ale upwards* To Briac, who introduced the game to me. Wouldn't be here without you. To Brad, who always ran all those games. Some were epic, others died after the second session. Either case, you were always running, even when you wanted to play. I appreciate it. To David, who always played those memorable characters that always brought laughs to the table. Also, thanks for running the game I'm in now. To James, who was willing to show the true path of the powergamer. I may not always take your advice, but you've influenced my gaming style in your own unique way. To Tim, who was patient enough to deal with my noobisms and show me how to properly roleplay a character. The game wouldn't be half as fun if you hadn't shown me how. To Jonathan, who also played memorable characters. Lord knows that Star Wars d20 game would have died a long time ago without your character. To my current gaming group (Jon, Shawn, Aaron, etc.), for trying out a whole new world of gaming and letting me and David show you the way. And finally, to these boards. I wouldn't have been able to get through some odd jams without you guys. Have one on me! Cheers!

To the Kender: Sorry about the gelatinous cube and the krakken... but you will always have your pouches in heaven. To Miri'cle the young black dragon: I did so hate to be your familiar, especially when you changed my alignment. To Fizzy: My druid whose spells where potions and required constitution checks to drink, but especially because no one ever found out you weren't wearing anything under that cloak. To Vlad: You were the barbarian of my heart, when all the other players were arguing over rules in your group's campaign, only you appreciated my "deepwood sniper" Elf's single minded mercenary spirit. I pint of ale all around!

To Alex, whose funky character concepts always competed with mine. (I mean, an Insectoid/Feral Thri-Kreen monk):rolleyes: To Arnaud, who made proud by wanting to play a druid/oozemaster as a first character. We really are a bunch of weirdo.

To Mike because ifyou weren't over six feet tall i'd think you were a kender To Jake for making a charecter whose luck was so bad he got eviscerated by his own arm. To Sam for playing a flying monkey paladin pirate and still being sick as hell. To Scot for abusing the five foot step rule in the worst ways. To Mary for still being the same exact charecter as ever. To Sam for running that group that no one was really sure of whats going on but we killed care bears.

She thought a game where you could slay dragons sounded like fun. :) To my mother - Another honerable mention. Earned for taking all manner of neighborhood flak (and then dishing it right back I'd latter learn!) for us kids there in the early 80's. To Matt, Kristie, Jim, Brian, Gary, James & Cid - my original gaming group. To Bill, Scott, Tom, Tim / Mark, Dan, George, Danny, Noah & Riley - my current gaming groups. To Mark, Tom, & Steve - for running the best game store in the land. To Mike - the best damned rules lawyer one could ever have hoped to meet, regardless of system. To Eric, the older brother of one of my brother's friends, who taught me to play when I was about seven... To Rich, the older neighborhood guy who introduced me to painting metal miniatures, and screwed me over by selling me three badly painted Grenadier minis for $2 each...

To my Mom: Thanks for not calling me the devil incarnate and making me stop playing like you made my dad stop playing! LOL To Don: Thanks for being one of the most creative and interesting DMs I've ever seen. You've really spoiled me on this game and your DM style. Way to be a dangerous DM and not a killer one. To Katherine, my best friend: Thanks for always playing the game with me. Even though no one else would show, sometimes, you always showed. You also were always willing to roll up new characters with me. You rock. To Eric*: Thanks for the laughs. I don't know how I could have enjoyed D&D as much as I do without that story about you and your lack of knowledge of the word "gazebo." And last, but in no way shape or form the least: To Gary Gygax.
