This account will probably be erased by Wizards in a matter of hours, but I wanted to start a dialogue with you, my friends. As one of your resident trolls, I would like to ask everyone on this site how I can make my time here more enjoyable for you? What kind of antics do you most enjoy from trolls? How obvious do you like us to be? Do you have any topics that you prefer us to address us in our threads? If you want an open debate on a subject and can remain civil (even if it can get a little heated), then stick around. If not, then get lost. You really aren't welcome here.
Board_Rider 02-08-07, 07:10 PM	I like trolls to be creative and a little funny. Coming in and thread jacking by writing something that just isn't funny is just sad. Similarly, if a troll begins a thread with something as outlandish as a stupid racist remark and doesn't have the cajones to at least respond or write the reason as to his racist outlook than that is just annoying. I would also like to add that trolls who speak of themselves as some great person is just pathetic. Somebody trying to justify themselves to people they don't know, have never seen and will, almost assuredly, never meet is just sad. Be a creative troll like EatFlan was a couple of years ago.

Always-Late 02-08-07, 07:22 PM	See, theoretically stupd trolls should be the best, and smart ones the worst, because usually stupid people's arguments should be shorter. Unfortunately, being stupid, someties they just never listen to anything or repeat really, really stupid things. Flamebait, flaming, and page on page of debate is right out. In fact, a troll should be just civilized enough for us not to figure out that he's a troll. The n we can ignore him or write him off as a boards resident wacko unless he's not a troll anymore which might not work for you. Actually, bhe best trolls of all would move into the Yu-Gi-Oh forums.

Black people are to stupid to play D&D 2. I think that people who like Fighters are stupid Basically just tying outlandish and very opinionated things and not sticking around to back it up.

Ventilatory_Threshold 02-08-07, 08:01 PM	What you need most is skill and subtlety. Make your posts sound non-threatening, so they'll be less likely to get people on the defensive. Include crude examples in an argument, hi-jack a thread with a single, short post that pertains mostly to the subject but also makes people want to argue with you. Example: "TROLLS ARE AWESOME!" vs. "I think trolls are people too. They're also really amusing and not nearly as sad as they may sound." The first one will get the thread closed or be ignored. The latter one sounds like a real opinion, and might attract other people. The best thing you could do as a troll is not to be overtly rude (or rude at all). Let the post speak for itself. Aaaaaand this post would be considered trolling, wouldn't it?
Kresalak 02-08-07, 08:08 PM	Trolling is an art. And like any art, you need the proper materials. You require over 9000 shock pics , a dynamic IP, and most of all, you require an army. A forum of this size cannot be tackled by merely one invader; you need a horde, nay, a legion, to win. Your remarks cannot simply be racist, they must be Nazi propaganda. Your links must not only be unsafe for work, but they must shock and disgust any who view them. In short, you must lurk moar. Wait, no, that's raiding. Trolling is different.
