This encounter was fun for my group. The Troll is an NPC King/Warlord in the land of Droaam (Eberron). I didn't stat him out because he has no arms and no legs. Metal plates are screwed into the arm and leg stumps to keep the Troll Warlord from regenerating/regrowing.

The Troll has a necklace of adaptation on to keep him from suffocating.

He also has a magic ring (you decide) hidden on his tongue and three gems hidden in his "A" hole. He will use these to bribe. He can also carry a few more gems in his "A" hole and will try to get more gems for info that he has.

He's been in the bag for 5 days. He was carried by his captor (who are now dead).

Rewards:
Players can keep the troll for a time and get valuable info about the land. But they must trick the troll and pay him.

Players can try to force the troll to give up info. In which case he will try to secretly bribe the Rogue of the party with the magic ring to let him go.

He knows were a secret treasure is.

This encounter was fun for my players. They still have the Troll and can't figure out what to do with him, or why he's even in their current dungeon.
