| Bazlon01-27-06, 03:03 PM | Is the ability of a vampires teeth accually in the teeth or in the life of the vampire, and if they are not just the vampires life power, then the ability must be in the teeth. If it is in the teeth, is it possible to take the teeth out and put them on say a mace and the some of the vampires drain abilitys? And what would a vampire do if he lost his teeth? Could he get denchers? |

And what would a vampire do if he lost his teeth? Could he get denchers? If a vampire lost his teeth, he would regrow them in short order. |

| SinisterSeraph01-27-06, 09:00 PM | Although, the idea of a character needing to acquire vampire fangs as a component for the creation of a magic item related to draining etc, is a pretty good one. I wouldn't say that the character just hammers the fangs into a stick and calls it a mace, but they could definately be required in some eldritch sense. |
| Seanamal01-28-06, 04:50 AM | Krusk has smart making idea! He take knock teeth out of ugly vampire head and stick in his big hitting stick to make bigger hurting! But teeth no eat blood like dey do in vampire mouth! Krusk be think making that more of vampire head on stick he need being |
| Sigurd van Norhusen01-28-06, 04:54 AM | Reminds me of that one Sluggy Freelance strip where the angsty dentist pulls out all the vampires' teeth. Since they primarily need blood, they could just as well use knives from now on. |

The constitution drain comes essentially from the blood loss the victim experiences, not the bite itself. The sharp teeth only help the vampire get to the blood (but are in themselves no more dangerous than a dog's teeth). |
| dr_pineapple01-28-06, 01:33 PM | Coo! And I think that the vampire first hits the teeth into its subjects neck, and then it starts to drink the blood, like humans drink water and other liquids. And in some myths, the vampires drink the blood with their teeth, but that's just bloody idiotic. How could their teeth get even a bit of blood through? That would take hundreds of thousands years. And, well, the vampires fangs are special, the vampires can easily grow up new ones, and some vampires actually use them as weapons, and dude, they sure pwn with them. |

Hollow fangs, like some snakes are rumoured to have (by which i mean i make or may not be right about if thats snakes) and spiders have to inject poison though. Only difference is Vampire fangs are bigger, and drain fluids not inject. But i'd guess vampire fangs have nothing else special about them, and the vampire will either start cutting peoples throats by knife or they grow a new set, like a shark. |
| green_yawgmoth01-28-06, 03:32 PM | Well, you can get a graft, vampire fangs, that let you drain blood just like a vampire does. So I'm gonna say it's in the teeth. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/yawgmoth/kittyjig.gif |
