| MergedLoki02-05-08, 04:55 AM | ok im not sure if this is in the right section so if it's not then sorry. I've been looking around (looking @ the srd tonight as i'm not @ home n can't check the books). I just have a quick question about ability score checks. say someone has a STR of 18 and wants to try to break down a door they would roll a d20 and add the str mod onto it (in this case +4) correct? which means if the doors DC is say... 28 they wont ever succeed. so I know you can get a group of pc's working 2gether to break a door (or whatever) down. but I CANNOT find the rule(s) explaining how to adjust the rolls/modifiers for 2+ pc's working together, can anyone help me out? thanks :) |

If Character A wanted to help Character B in a skill/ability check they make the same check on a DC of 10. A sucessful role adds a +2 circumstance bonus to Character B's check. Note, you cannot take 10 on aid another. Hope that helps :D |

I use them in my game and it allows the "impossible" to become the "improbable" and the "guaranteed" to become the "more-than-likely."
