About how much money should a level 7 character have? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-30-04, 02:02 PM I was just wondering about how muhc money an average character would have at about level 7.
not just plain cash, but ehanced items as well.
I just wanted to see how rich/poor the characters itnhe cmapaign my friend and I are co-DMing are.(he DMs one time I dm the next time etc)

07-30-04, 02:06 PM Estimated balanced character wealth for a 7th level PC is 19,000 gp.
Thats cash, weapons, armors, everything your character owns, it should all add up to be ~19k gp.

07-30-04, 04:24 PM There is a table in the PH that gives a suggested wealth value for players starting above first level. We always use that as a measure.

07-31-04, 02:47 PM The page you can find the table on changes depending on which version you're playing.

Its table 2-24 on page 43 in the 3.0 DMG.
Its table 5-1 on page 135 in the 3.5 DMG.

Both versions have the exact same identical table, however, so it doesn't matter which one you use.
