Hey, I was thinking it'd be useful to start a series of threads about the Iconics: Devis, Lidda, Regdar, Jozan, Mialee, etc. Post any info you have about a specific character from the novels or other Wizards of the Coasts sources in the appropriate thread:

All about Lidda, halfling rogue:

She has adventured with every other iconic except Ember, Nebin and Soveliss. She has, I think, been in more books than any other iconic. She has never been in a romantic relationship with another iconic, but she has flirted with Devis. She has, possibly, the least background of the iconics.

One of my friends told me that in one of the books she says she was once married? Any confirmation on that?

Only if your attack roll Exceeded her Armor Class.

Huh. That's good information to know. I guess I missed that in the CoC. I'll have to make sure to follow that rule.

Cheers

Not that I can recall, and I'm pretty sure I"ve read them all.

I've read them all too (though it was a while ago) and I know she wasn't married DURING any of the stories, but did she mention something about being married or engaged before she became an adventurer?

I'd hit it.

What's her cha? She's a halfling though...that would kinda be like someones kid sister or something.

are you all trying to call down the wrath of mod?

are you all trying to call down the wrath of mod?Everyone but me and Dhaever apparently. I wish Mods could just remove offensive posts & posters instead of locking threads though, as I actually was hoping to get some more info out of these. But instead I seem to have attracted.... this.

Oh, I know her. She was a real mean pants saying that just because I was new to adventuring that I couldn't beat her in a fight. She was like level 30 said my DM but I attacked and scored a crit and killed her. Then I casted Raise Undead or something to the extent on her.

You'd think....

But then it seems like quite a few are quite taken by her....

There's not much that I recall about her background. But then I'd have to go back and read one to see if there was any/much mention of one.

Enemies and Allies lists her charisma as 8, at all three levels it presents (5, 10, 15) and she has no charisma-enhancing items at any level. It is a 3.0 product, but it is the only source of published stats on the iconics.

(EDIT: Okay, not all the iconics, obviously, since this is pre-Gimble, although the list is Alhandra, Devis, Ember, Hennet, Jozan, Krusk, Lidda, Mialee, Nebin, Regdar, Soveliss, Tordek, and Vadania, all of which presented at levels 5, 10, and 15. Of the 3e iconics that were shown in the PHB, it's missing Kerwyn (Human Rogue), Eberk (Dwarf Cleric) and Naull (Human Wizard). This of course doesn't count Ialdabode, Alexandra, Kazak or Ragnara, despite them being iconic characters, because they were introduced in the Psionics Handbook (Ragnara was known as Ma'varkith in the 3.0 version), or the XPH additional ones of Leila, Sandharrow, and Xerxes.).

I think this thread (and the Lidda Art Rule, namely, that for each new book that comes out, Lidda must look better in it, usually with new fashion accessories like cloaks, satchels, jewelry or whatnot) clearly demonstrates that Charisma is not directly correlated to appearance.

Not that I'm defending them, but halfling are fully developed and fully proportional. Therefore, not child-like.

I'm interested in learning more about Lidda, so could you guys please stop it. You're going to ruin this thread for the rest of us. Please change your comments through the edit button. THank you.

She was originally introduced to Regdar and Jozan when Jozan convinced some angry villagers not to hang her. She speaks goblin.

Its just a picture, besides, what if he was? It doesn't matter since this is a D&D message forum.

Lidda has definately held up from her first pictures compared to Mialee. Mialee looks rough and tumble, though, and one I'd like on my side in a fight.

I do wanna see the psi-conics get their due as well!

I had a girl in my class in high-school that looked like a mirror image of Lidda. She was about five feet tall and perfectly formed. Cute as a button.

I'd say that was a pretty good intro. Her being accused of a crime and Jozan being able to get her off the hook.

she was probably guilty... anyway, she is also a psychopath (at least likes practicing backstabbing people while they are doing something important), and is the roommate of the long-suffering naull. Whats that? sigil prep isn't official? :weep:

I can clearly imagine that!

Human bard: "Hello there, beautiful lady. When was the last time somebody told you that your beauty makes the sun's splendor pale in comparison, and that your eyes are the only reason for a man to breath?"

Lidda (with a deep raspy voice): "F**K OFF YOU LOOSER AND F**KING LEAVE ME ALONE!"
