cacheek 04-15-07, 09:20 PM	I accidently ordered a duplicate of the Magic Item Compendium. I'm thinking about returning it for one of the following: Tome of Battle, Heroes of Horror, Complete Arcane, DM Guide II. Ideas?

If you're a player, and play a lot of arcane magic users, it's hard to beat Complete Arcane, likewise with Tome of Battle but with melee combatants. Heroes of Horror has some interesting stuff in it, but most of it is specific to a particular style of game. If you're not playing a lot of horror games I wouldn't recommend it. The DMG II has some interesting material in it, but it is really only useful for DMs, and even then primarily serves as a set of guidelines for quickening play and helping out starting DMs.
