Are there any stats for Achilles or any of the other Greek heros?

Deities and Demigods both from 1e and 3e.... But this really should be asked on the main D&D boards and not the FR boards. :)

I don't remember the 3.0 D&D having Achilles stats. I know it had a block for Hercules, but not ol' Trojan war hero there.

Confirmed. Checked the Olympian pantheon section back to front. No Achilles stats.

Nod well he said the other heroes as well but I believe they are still in the 1e version. Course I'm still being lazy and not checking. :)

I don't know the answer either, but someone on the DnD boards might.

This is not the place for this. These boards are specifically for forgotten realms. Any future questions of this nature should go directly to the DnD boards.

I'm going to move this one for you.

Dieties and Demigods (it's now outdated). Though I really advise against it, I think real-world mythologies tend to suck for gaming.

I have to disagree in ways that the gods themselves must smile at. They rock beyond all measure. Currently using Athena for a big gothic city and a cool paladin PC. Couldn't be happier. Two players also sick to death of the D&D pantheon, totally stoked when I said I was building a medieval setting with a bent toward a gothically-presented Athena. Put new juice in the game.

Also a fan of Sif and Thor.

The D&D pantheon... well, it's their site, so I won't say it. You know what? Yeah, I will. Shallow, trite, totally lacking in anything really deep or meaningful as mythology. Good for game mechanics, yes, but no moreso than any of the real gods upon whom they were based. Yes, I called them real. Must always remember, when this game started, there were no D&D gods, other than those of the monsters. We played real pantheons back in the day. You can't beat thousands of years of accumulated myth and symbolism.

Back on topic, Deities and Demigods does not have stats for Achilles. The more recent one has Hercules, but no other heroes. The original, 1st Edition has Perseus. It might have Achilles. My brain is trying to tell me it did. I can tell you tonight after I get home, but being 1st Edition, I don't know how much good it would do you.

That's okay. I will just have to do a massive edition and stats change if you find the stats for him. Thanks.

He'd definitley be epic, probably a Barbarian. Maybe make him half-celestial without the wings.

found him. He's in the first edition deities and demigods, to the left of aphrodite. page 64, to be precise.

Well i don't have access to the first edition books, so could you tell me a little of what it says in the entry, like his class and level, and maybe a little other stuff? Thanks

There was a Dragon magazine article (not sure of the exact issue number, but something from the first year or so after 3.0 was released) that included stats for a half-dozen or so heroes of the Trojan War, including Achilles.

I think.

It's a little foggy, but I'm about 80% sure it's what I'm thinking it was. Maybe someone with that Dragon CD-ROM archive knows?
