| Oathwin Oakheart01-20-04, 07:29 PM | Could anyone please help me with the rules for action points. I read a bit about them from the preview of Eberron. ( The action point system is borrowed from D20 Modern ) I would like to use them in my current game. I understand that you get 1D6 points/level. I would appreciate it if someone could give me a short list of what they are used for. Its a long wait till Eberron hits the self at my local game store and it would be nice to start using the Action Point system right now ( Without spending the money on the D20 Modern rule book - which I have no interest in playing at all ). Thanks ! ;) |

How about a squad of F-16's in an ariel duel with a Great Wyrm Red? It really is more fun then it looks on first impression. Anyway...I would advise asking the Moderns boards. They are the masters of the action points. |

They also are sometimes needed to initiate a special skill, ability or power. The way that our DM does it sometimes, is that of course depending on your class you receive a certain amount of action dice per level. However he also will reward us with them for particulairly good role playing , or self-sacrifing actions beneficial to the party, (perhaps by playing in character, knowing full well that an action would be detrimental to their hero.) In some cases in can literally mean the life or death, failure or success of a party. |
