(from Book of Vile Darkness) As I understand it, as soon as you take the addictive substance, you must save daily or take the listed damage. After the "sated" period ends, the save DC increases by 5. Is that right? It seems kinda harsh... you would think think being sated would prevent the ability damage altogether. Additionally, the example given in the book lists different damage than the table. Huh? Please show my the errors of my ways.

I'm a recovering drug addict, just because your high doesnt make what withdrawl does to your body 'instantly' go away, depending on the drug I guess, I dont have experence with all drugs. I do however dislike the rules in the first place, I dont find them accurate at all in terms of my experence. Either that or I have a good will save, my problem has never been stopping and getting past the withdrawl period and avoiding use of a drug, its always been that my life is such crap I find myself not caring anymore and just doing it anyway.
