Adjusted Levels - Leveling Up? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Have a player that is 1st level fighter drow (from Forgotten Realms). Now, I know in theory you cant be a drow level 1 fighter untill you have 3000 xp, but I wasnt gonna start him out with 3000 xp and everybody else with 0.

So he now has over 1000 xp, now I know he wont level to fighter 2 untill 6000 (or what ever it is for level 4... dont know off the top of my head), but shouldnt he still get more hit points at what would be each level? I mean 10 hit points untill you hit 6000xp is kind of small, espically when you other friends have 4 hit die by that time?

Sorry, Adjusted Levels always mess with me, lol.

That's one of the main balancing factors when it comes to races that are more powerful than the regular ones.
