Advancing a creature [Archive] - Wizards Community

I'm wanting to advance a gray ooze to a large, 8HD creature but apart from the small 'Advancement' heading I don't know where to start.

Can anyone out there run through an example with me or point me in the right direction?

The steps for advancing a monster are pretty straight-forward. The tricky parts come in when you are doing class advancement instead.
