| Drizztrocks03-09-08, 08:04 PM | 'Ello, everybody! This is my first contest i'm hosting/judging, so go easy on me. Anyway, you post your best homebrew adventures and stories on here to be judged. The contest is split up into two seperate contests- Homemade Adventures and Adventure Stories. I will be judging it. Please tell the type of adventure yours is in your post. Post quickly, it won't last long!;) Homemade Adventures Must be atleast five encounters, sorted into combats, roleplayings, story information and what the DM should say. Additional things are aloud as long as they follow those guidelines. It must be neat, and spelling counts. The first five will be judged based on creativity, how interesting it is, how original it is, and how playable it is. Adventure Stories Can be in any form, as long as it is a story, {no lists of events or anything like that}. It should be atleast a long paragraph, though prefferably a few. First ten posted will be judged for how entertaining and how detailed it is. It must be in story format, and it is suggested you tell the story from your character's point of view {first person}, as this is much more interesting, and will be given a higher score. DO NOT post it with straitforward rules talking about dice and books and stuff, as this will be given a low score. If you were Dming the adventure you want to tell about, tell it from 3rd person, introducing the characters and plot in the beginning, and then going into traditional story format. |
| Drizztrocks03-10-08, 11:09 PM | PLEASE POST! PLEASE! :weep: |
| Drizztrocks03-22-08, 05:26 PM | wow.....all those veiws and no posting. If you veiw this and decide not to post an adventure, please post why not or why people arent voting. |
| Prom03-22-08, 07:40 PM | Hi Drizztrocks, There's not much reason to post adventures as they take so long to write anyway, so it's just more work. More than a few people already have threads that have adventures they have made on this forum, so it would be a double post on the adventure forum. Prom |
| Drizztrocks03-28-08, 10:28 PM | Thx. Oh, well, atleast I made an effort. |
| Jaim03-29-08, 10:52 AM | No you didn't? You just wanted others to make an effort :D |
| Drizztrocks03-30-08, 11:32 PM | True. :D I didnt word it right. And go easy on me, this is my first contest. :) |
| Jaim03-31-08, 01:24 AM | Well, fishing for interesting adventure ideas is fine but calling it a 'contest' or 'challenge' doesn't make it more appealing. Also, if you want anyone to contribute his work you might want to start out by delivering something of your own as an example entry and as a sign that you DID make an effort. ;) |
| Yules03-31-08, 01:50 AM | I have an idea... my mind is too chaotic to invent something right now... if you provide with a theme or a base idea, I will gladly come up with something. |
| Drizztrocks04-13-08, 04:43 PM | How about....I will give the start of an adventure. Just a quick summary. And then anybody competing will make their own, short, random fluff for the adventure, perhaps a short paragraph. Then I will select the winners from three categories. Most Playable Most Outrageous Most Downright Boring So, the starting sentance is...dun dun dun..... A group of abondoned skelatons and zombies has somehow become sentient and is planning to attack a village. Fluff it up by adding what happens in the adventure. For Example: If the sentence was: Three gnoll hunters are raiding caravans going down the road. I would fluff: A group of heroes-a kitty cat, superman and snoop dog-go and save Louis Lane from King Kong off of the Eiffel tower in Los Angelas. This would either win "Most Outrageous" or "Most Downright Boring". :) |
