Anyway, I've been buying the new mods (Red Hand, Scourge, Slaughtergarde and Barrow) and am very happy with them, with only one complaint. The full colour mods are fine, but the black and white ones just seem to be B&W printings of colour originals. Sometimes it's a bit hard to read black text on a dark grey background. I'm reading Barrow right now and the first page is a perfect example of this; it's hard to clearly make out the Dungeons & Dragon logo. And whilst the map watermark background works well on colour pages (like in Slaughtergarde) it can be a real pain when printed in B&W.

So my main feedback to WotC is this; please consider what your product will look like when printed in B&W rather than what looks good on the colour screen of your pc.

03-16-07, 07:52 PM I too was disappointed by the hard-to-read text in the b&w adventures.

However, you'll note that the free art on the website is also in b&w, so I'm not sure that they were printed from a color original. At least, if they were, the art was already b&w.

I was thinking more about the full page encounters chapter from page 22 onwards. Comparing that section to the similar one in Slaughtergarde, it certainly looks like B&W printing of a colour layout.
