elfintraining 01-17-07, 10:41 PM	I like the new format in RHoD and just got SGoS. The maps for using miniatures are a welcome addition, but dont include all the dungeon crawling. I havent bought the dungeon tiles, but if they include all the elements for playing the adventure's encounters with miniatures I would buy a set of tiles at once. Does anyone know if the rooms and corridors of Dungeon Tiles are representative of the encounter areas in the Shattered Gates of Slaughtergaurd adventure? Would someone at Wotc comment on future adventures including encounters built using the Dungeon tiles product line?

No, the dungeon tiles are not a direct representation of encounters in SGoS however, you should be able to make a reasonable fascimile of the encounter maps using those tiles. I am sure the upcoming tile sets will further the ability to replicate encounters from adventures. I am still waiting for a caves and caverns tile set... hint hint wotc development staff...
elfintraining 02-04-07, 06:47 PM	Thanks for the reply. D&D without miniatures isn't as much fun and miniatures without specific maps for the encounters is only half the encounter. I hope future adventures will continue to have unique maps included like RHoD and SGoS but will also have generic encounter areas bassed on the map tiles product line. I am also looking forward to caves and caverns:)
DirtyHarryPotter 02-23-07, 11:15 PM	Many of the Dungeon Crawl Classics adventures have gorgeous custom battle maps you can download for free. Highly recommend DCC - they are old school dungeon crawls that can be dropped into any campaign or linked together to make a campaign. As for the WOTC dungeon tiles, I consider them to be the best purchase I made for D&D last year. At 10 bucks US they are a third (or less) of the cost of a new HB book and I get a lot more use out of them than I do many of the books.
