It seems like the two systems would be mutually exclusive to one another and would probaby upset players if done so. Player1: "Okay so now my affiliation score went up and I got a new rank, title and ability." Player2: "Umm DM how come my group is 'only' an organization and I don't get any of that?" Just wondering what other people thought.. and if there's any sense in implementing the organization/guild system from DMG II if you are going to be using the PHB II's affiliation system. |

| VrecknidjX06-10-07, 10:01 AM | If anyone would like to take a serious look at this issue, and write a few hundred to a few thousand words on it, I'd be most interested in taking a look at it as a possible inclusion for a future issue of Knowledge Arcana (http://wizo.wizards.com/ka/). I have looked at Affiliations, and am designing some for the Icebound setting (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=836492) for the RPG Live! (http://boards1.wizards.com/chatlogin.php?instance=rpg&group=4&chathost=chatrpg.wizards.com) games. But I haven't looked at the Organizations enough to make a reasoned comparison. Dave |
