I have been looking through the art on the D&D website and I can't fight the irresistable urge to bring to everyone's attention the AWESOME works of the greatest D&D artist alive...

Mr. Wayne Reynolds (http://www.waynereynolds.com/index.htm)

I hope by making a rant and bringing attention to his amazing artworks that we will continue to see an influx of his works throughout the whole D&D line, but especially more in the Eberron line, besides just the cover art.

I'd like to start off with a few of my personal favorites, and then please... pay homage to the great one by posting some of your favorites. If you have, possibly, comissioned him to do a masterpiece for you, by all means I would love to see those too!

*Please just post Wayne Reynolds' stuff

I gotta agree. Reynolds is my favorite D&D artist. Love the PrCs from Dragon 317 and the Hullathoin in the FF.

Wayne Reynolds is probably my third favorite DnD artist, but I still totally dig his artwork. Jeremy Jarvis is my favorite though.

I've always been fond of his art, too. His art is quintessentially 3e.

Wayne Reynolds is Okay, I still prefer Larry Elmore or Jeff Easley though (of course they haven't done any D&D art is some time now...)

Well, I'm glad you guys enjoy Mr. Reynolds' art.

I personally don't like it, although he has improved considerably since the days of the MMI and Sword and Fist. His sense of proportion and shading/lighting in his early WotC work was really bad, IMO.

Of course, I'm rather lukewarm towards the majority of 3E art.

Like cwslyclgh, I prefer the more "classic" fantasy style of guys like Elmore and Easley, but maybe that's just because I grew up on their stuff.

Not trying to start arguments or anything, just thought like voicing my opinion. If you disagree with me, I won't be calling you names or insulting your intelligence.

What? Are you sure you're on the right boards? :D

I feel just the opposite. I feel that his proportions and lighting are beautifully done. Yes it has a comic book appearance to it, but I feel that D&D has a comic book feel to it anyway.

IMHO, I feel that Reynolds blows Elmore, Jarvis and that other artist away. Not to say their works aren't good, just not on the same higher plane as Reynolds is.
