if you people are going to ***** about the 3.5 changes, here's a brilliant idea! PLAY WHATEVER EDITION YOU LIKE. My group and I played 3rd, because we think 3.5 sucks, not to mention we're not about to buy all the new books for it. Thats the point of D&D, do whatever you want. It's not like someone from WoTC is sitting there with you correcting you. It's an open ended game, shut up and enjoy it.

I think many people didn't like the initial chaos that the 3.5 changes wrought upon their campaigns in the form of massive updates to established campaigns and NPCs on the part of DMs and massive character re-figuring on the part of players. Regardless, everyone will play whatever version, edition they want too. I don't all of 3.5 and I have no intention of buying it anytime soon, least not till my poorly made 3.0 PHB falls apart.

This should be closed.

People have always had the right to raise concerns they have about a product; Wizards is good enough to provide a little hub for the people to do so. Seek treatment if you really are disturbed by this phenomenon.

I'm not disturbed, I'm just saying that the beauty of D&D is the open-ended, creative aspect of the game. Sure it needs some structure, but think for yourselves sometimes people. Look at all the people who come up with their own variations, weapons, prestige classes and so on. I said 3.5 sucked, which it does, but it does have some merit, for example: bards were terrible in 3rd but now they are totally kick ass. So use the system for structure, it doesn't have to be played exactly the way it's presented.

Thread closed. (When something looks this ugly in just four posts, I don't want to see it after it really gets going.)

Remember: Phrase things positively and constructively -- for example, instead of saying something along the lines of "shut up and enjoy it," try "sit back and enjoy it." It still gets the same point across, but it's a lot less likely to provoke a flame war. When in doubt, don't post.
