Allows you to change into a creature of the SAME type as yourself.. up to 1 size category difference.. you retain your existing subtype..

So, a Human Wizard casts Alter Self.. can he change into the hybrid form of a werebear?

The 3.5 Lycanthorpes are listed as Humanoid with shapechanger as the subtype.

08-08-04, 12:52 AM NEVER MIND... I just read the part about lycanthopy being a "Template" and thus.. not an option for Alter Self.
