So my friend and I bought the Dungeons and Dragons Basic Game on a whim and played through it. I DMed, and he controlled the 4 starting characters. We had a good time for a couple of hours, but it got confusing and tedious for both of us.

Now I want to play through a quick, simple game, but playing through the same game would be incredibly lame. Are there any alternate games that can easily be played with the Basic Game that you guys can link me to?

You mean alternative D&D adventures for 1st level characters?

The WoTC D&D downloads area has three or so free 1st level adventures in .pdf format.

The old D&D Adventure Game from when 3rd Edition was first released had quite a few quests in it, it was too bad that none of that material is in print. When I first bought the Basic Set I was hoping they would have included that content.

Anyway, the dungeon tiles can be arranged in any order to create different dungeons. Just draw a rough schematic of where each tile is in your dungeon. Just make notations like

1A->3A
|
4A

Or something like that. There was even a sample design at the back of the Adventure Book if I remember correctly. There are tables in there that will let you pregenerate everything or you could just make it up yourself.
