Amount of Food Needed? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-30-07, 09:55 PM Alright in the book Dungeonscape, there is a mention of a template that allows a monster to better fit into a dungeon-theme campaign and one of the points on this template is that it eats the same amount of food for a creature one size smaller than its currently is.

Now where exact can I find how much food a creature of a certain size needs to eat per day?

08-30-07, 10:30 PM Assuming normal physiology, 5 * 4^number of steps up from medium. So mediums would need 5 pounds, large creatures would need 20 pounds, huge creatures would need 80 pounds, etc.
