| GUR-I04-09-05, 09:35 AM | First off, if this is in the wrong forum, please move it. ok, my idea for wizards is to let people who buy their books to download a free computer file with most, if not all of the information in the book, thus reducing your book collection to a few computer files that can be very easily searched and wweigh a lot less than the many pounds of books i carry around to gaming sessions. please, no spamming trolling etc. |
| Prgrmr@wrk04-09-05, 10:16 AM | That's the SRD (System Resource Document). Best part is, you don't even need to buy the books, it's completely free. It only covers the main books, but that's plenty. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20/article/srd35 |
| GUR-I04-09-05, 02:08 PM | the problem is that when i add in the many supplements i own, they are not useful, also the SRD is not complete, and is missing information. this is to stop me from having to carry 20 odd pounds of books on trips and everytie i want to game |
| Aricandor04-09-05, 02:12 PM | Well... While most of the mechanics is in the SRD, some things are simply not open gaming license. Besides, such a system would make piracy of books much easier. They do not want that. Apart from that, you could always host the games at home. That's what I do. I'm the DM on the other hand; maybe you are not. And by the way, I looked in my closet, and you weren't there Gur-I... :) |
