an unfortunately nooby question [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-07-07, 12:38 PM as i said, an unfortunately nooby question ... but:

i've now got to a point in my DnD playing where i am wanting to fight flying monsters, however, i dont understand these flying rules, what is Clumsy, and Flawless etc, i've looked all over the player manual but found nothing...

P.S i couldn't find a better place to put this thread so i put it here

There's the info you need. I'm not sure if the flight rules are detailed in the DMG or the MM as far as the hard copies go.

11-08-07, 10:30 AM If you have the monster manuals you should be able to get a good idea of how the mosnters maneuver in the air and their style of attack.
Also the DMG has the rules of flying combat listed there.

11-08-07, 11:52 AM A fly speed will always be written with a maneuverability (the word in the parentheses). Example: a manticore has a fly speed of 50' (clumsy), an air elemental has a fly speed of 100' (perfect).

Don't worry, my friend. We all have our questions. However, everyone has seemed to answer it.

And besides your not making a n00b q, more of a newb(ie) question.
