| ajmastrean07-06-04, 01:35 PM | Does anyone play ADOM (ancient domains of mystery)? I have played for maaany years now and love every second of it. But, on to the question...How would one convert the ADOM style of play for DnD? Some of my ideas were as follows. Extra treasure (boost 2-3 CR on the treasure tables) Better treasure (always reroll mundane stuff like art) More monsters! have hordes of easy guys buffering the tough guy what about the classes...I have noticed that the abundance of PrC's and new base classes just about cover all ADOM classes. How else would one simulate the fast, intense play? do you think death would be a problem (in respect to slowing things down or making players cry)? would basic rules have to be changed? I almost assume that the party would have to have played ADOM to appreciate a DnD version. Has anyone modelled any adventures after the ADOM ones? Any other ADOM talk is alright here. www.adom.de if you must know. |
