I'm not all that well versed with d20 rules, so I sometimes have to ask since digging through books usually is not a successful way for me to find answers.

In the Complete Warrior book, there is a feat called Kiai Shout that I was interested in. In the description, it says affected foes will be "shaken" for 1d6 rounds.

What does that mean in game mechanics?

Any help in advance is appriciated.

Shaken is defined on page 301 of the 3.5 DMG.

On a more general answer, all of the "statuses" can be found in the glossary in the back of the 3.5 PHB.

Shaken: A shaken character suffers a -2 morale penalty on melee attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, and saving throws. Shaken is a less severe fear condition then frightened or panicked.

From page 85 of the 3e DMG. Go to page 83 for a list of the conditions.

Hope this helps. :)
